CTSSA

TOURISM SAFETY & SECURITY ASSOCIATION
Founded in January 2001, the California Tourism Safety & Security Association is a non-profit collaboration of law enforcement, security professionals, attraction operators, hoteliers, travel professionals, meeting planners, convention managers, transportation industry representatives, tourism industry officials, civic leaders and others dedicated to improving visitor safety via the exchange of tourist crime and safety information, education, and professional networking.

The Association tracks visitor security related trends, exchanges tourism crime information among members, advocates for improved visitor safety measures, and conducts related training programs.   A variety of specialized services are available to visitor venues and global tourism enterprises.

CTSSA activities are coordinated by a group working professionals who volunteer their time.   Advisory Board members include security professionals, law enforcement officers, hoteliers, tourism industry leaders, attraction operators, sales/marketing professionals, academicians, civic leaders, tour operators, meeting planners, and convention managers.  Membership is free of charge, open only to qualified working professionals.

While nothing online is confidential, some content may regard sensitive incidents, ongoing investigations, or experimental technologies.   So, rather than posted materials, members receive confidential alerts and monthly updates via email.  These email updates are categorized as:  Crime, Features, Trends, Training, Technology, Networking Opportunities.
